At Vale Base Metals, we are seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Planner to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mobile equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of mobile equipment maintenance activities.

About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational and communication skills. You will work closely with our maintenance team to ensure that all mobile assets are maintained to high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment availability.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure that all maintenance activities are properly planned and executed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including supervisors, schedulers, and crew members.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 completed or GED equivalent is required.
  • College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Valid industrial trade certificate for the province of Ontario.
  • Generic Supervisor Common Core.
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
  • Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
