Job Title: Senior MADS PaaS Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MADS PaaS Engineer to join our team at GalaxE. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based database solutions using popular Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure (AZ) services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based database solutions using GCP and AZ services.
  • Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines for database deployment and management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other cloud services.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working with GCP and AZ services.
  • 3+ years of experience with database PaaS services such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, No-SQL, and Redis.
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions and Terraform.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python programming language.
  • Strong working knowledge of networking, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on coding experience in recent roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GCP Professional Cloud Database Engineer certification.
  • MS Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed.
  • Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
  • Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, the ability to tolerate fluorescent lighting, and the ability to adjust focus.
