Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Krishan Sethi. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Work Environment:

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, community centers, and other locations. You will be required to travel to clients' homes, using public transportation or other means as needed.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks. You must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods and move around clients' homes with ease.

Language:

The primary language of this role is English, and proficiency in this language is required.Work Schedule:

This is a permanent position, requiring a minimum of 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The schedule will be determined in consultation with the client and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
