Job Title: Casual Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Casual Bus Driver to join our team at School District 91 (Nechako Lakes). As a Casual Bus Driver, you will be responsible for driving regular and scheduled bus routes, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive regular and scheduled bus routes, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Liaise with students, parents, peers, and staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Participate in curricular and extra-curricular trips as required.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • BC driver's license - Class 2 Full Privileged with air endorsement and an exemplary driving record/current driver's abstract
  • Valid First Aid certificate and CPR training
  • Courses and training in defensive driving or a combination of training and experience
  • 6 months of demonstrated successful experience driving vehicles requiring BC Class 2 or higher license in all seasons
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
