We are in search of a Principal System Architect Engineer who will be responsible for converting user requirements into comprehensive hardware and software design solutions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in creating proof of concepts that prioritize simplicity while delivering user-friendly products in robotics and imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze technical and business needs from both internal and external stakeholders, establishing oneself as the authority on product knowledge, skills, and problem-solving.
  • Draft technical documentation with minimal oversight required.
  • Oversee requirement management and project planning in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Direct design, system architecture, and product roadmap initiatives by staying informed about industry trends and business needs.
  • Design, develop, and supervise the implementation of comprehensive integrated systems.
  • Evaluate new and existing system designs, providing recommendations for enhancements that significantly influence decision-making.
  • Formulate test plans, conduct testing on both personal and team software, and lead small testing groups.
  • Engage with customers, responding proactively to their inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders on technical and project-related matters.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience in hardware and software system design and architecture, particularly in robotics and machine learning applications.
  • More than 5 years of software development experience in C++ and/or Python for robotics systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, and/or launching software products.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in machine learning development and deployment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning infrastructure (e.g., GPU, cloud TPU), deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and related tools (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow).
  • Experience in developing and deploying computer vision applications.
  • Knowledge in developing and deploying large language model applications.
  • Understanding of the Robot Operating System (ROS).
