Thermite Welder

Job Summary:

RailWorks Corporation is seeking a skilled Thermite Welder to join our team. As a Thermite Welder, you will be responsible for performing thermite welding processes on rail tracks, ensuring high-quality results and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thermite welding processes on rail tracks, including rail cutting, measuring, and replacement.
• Operate equipment such as Oxygen/Propane cutting and preheating processes.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Inspect equipment and diagnose problems, notifying supervisors as needed.
• Prepare reports of maintenance work and costs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of welding experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Thorough knowledge of thermite welding processes and welding properties of metals.
• Certification in Contractor Orientation, e*Railsafe, and Railway Maintenance Machine Operation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with railroad personnel and recommend cost-effective solutions.

Physical Requirements:

Work outdoors at railroad construction sites, frequently standing, walking, climbing, and using hands to operate equipment.
