About the Role:

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join its Technology and Infrastructure (T&I) Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce financial reports using financial and production data.
  • Create ad hoc analyses using various datasets.
  • Conduct financial planning and analysis for T&I components.
  • Develop reports involving financial metrics to support T&I Finance.
  • Produce accurate financial forecasts and reports on a regular basis.
  • Develop tables and charts to present data in a format suitable for presentation to Finance and T&I.
  • Implement automation of reports where suitable.
  • Develop and promote effective reporting and analytical standards and procedures.
  • Participate in the month-end financial close process.
  • Assist in monthly financial forecasting and financial variance analysis.
  • Work closely with individuals within the group to gather and analyze data.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business, preferably in Business Administration or Commerce.
  • Three years of related work experience in data science and/or business analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAP and SAP BW.
  • High level of computer proficiency and full working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel) and Google Suite (Google Sheets).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience dealing with clients/users at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across the Corporation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and think critically.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Initiative to explore new techniques and new ideas.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, technical writing skills, and change management skills.
  • Bilingualism (English and French).
