Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Insolvency Advisor to join our Personal Debt Solution team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting debtors and creditors, performing initial consultations, and reviewing interview forms. They will also be responsible for community outreach, business development, and presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist debtors and creditors in person and by telephone regarding bankruptcies and proposals
  • Perform initial consultations to assess debtor situations and recommend options
  • Review interview forms and prepare files/documents for client signing
  • Conduct community outreach, business development, and presentations
Success Metrics

Your Experience and Education
  • Experience in a financial advisory role or a strong customer service-focused role is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset
  • Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and a variable workload as required
  • Must be able to liaise well with staff and outside parties
  • Insolvency experience is an asset
  • Willingness to complete or have completed the BIA Administrator Insolvency Course
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car are required
