Framing Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at AS2 Framing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of wood structures.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-construction preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accurate measurements and layouts.
- Woodworking and installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing work: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to ensure a smooth and professional finish.
- Site management: Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites, supervising other workers and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Estimation and planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and plan and coordinate the work of other team members to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Maintenance and repair: Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals and industrial plants.
As a Framing Carpenter with AS2 Framing Ltd, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work long hours, including overtime, to meet project deadlines.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Physical capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel and handle heavy loads, with a combination of sitting, standing and walking throughout the day.
- Personal suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability and a team player attitude.
