Job Title: Registered Veterinary Technician

Yorkwood Veterinary Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to assist our veterinarians in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, restraining, and caring for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, as well as producing diagnostic radiographs and assisting with surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
  • Produce diagnostic radiographs
  • Assist veterinarian before, during, and after surgery
  • Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
  • Counsel clients on animal health care
  • Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry
Requirements
  • Registration by a provincial or territorial, or regional association as Registered Animal Health Technologist, Registered Veterinary Technician
  • Experience and specialization in small animals
