About the Role:


The Health and Safety Specialist - Operations will play a crucial role in supporting the overall health and safety strategy of DP World Canada by implementing standardized systems, programs, policies, training, campaigns, and initiatives to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with regulations and DPW standards.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the development and implementation of HSSE strategies aligned with regional and DPW requirements
  • Collaborate with various teams across DP World Canada to standardize HSSE processes
  • Audit HSSE programs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Create a network of alliances with internal and external stakeholders to promote HSSE policies and procedures
  • Ensure incident prevention and response through detailed reporting, data analysis, and investigation
  • Support safety programs across all operational terminals


Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role with expertise in coordinating Safety and/or Environment Programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work as a team member and take initiative to solve problems
