Senior Financial Analyst

Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Private Funds Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting, performance measurement, and valuation support to our Private Equity business group.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including trial balances, financial statements, and investor statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of capital call and distribution notices to investors.
  • Support the consolidation of financial statements for our publicly traded company.
  • Review and analyze fund performance metrics, including IRR, management fees, and carried interest.
  • Participate in the resolution of complex technical accounting issues.
  • Assist in managing fund operations, including compliance, controls, and treasury management.
  • Prepare various analyses and reports for senior management.
  • Support the valuation process, including review of valuation models and long-term assumptions.
  • Assist in resolving investor requests related to fund financial items and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Three to five years of progressive work experience in accounting or auditing.
  • A recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA).
  • Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and a team player.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
