We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Writing Teacher to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. in Vancouver, BC.

About the Role

This part-time position involves working with students in a supportive and engaging environment, helping them develop their writing skills and confidence. As a Writing Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching up to three students at a time, following our established methodologies and philosophies.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver interactive and engaging lessons to promote student participation and understanding
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Requirements
  • University degree or Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
  • BC Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grade 7 to Grade 12 curriculum
  • Experience teaching/tutoring at a Grade 7 to Grade 12 level
  • Superb written and oral communication skills in fluent, native English
