Diesel Mechanic Job Description

V4U LOGISTIC INC. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct apprentices in the art of diesel mechanics
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail required
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Handling heavy loads
