Job Title: DBA - Specialist

Duration: 6 months

Work location: Hybrid - in office every Tuesday for the time being.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. A little flexibility with work hours. 37.5 hours/week. Overtime may be required; weekends may be required (on call) *1 person each week is on standby - this will be a rotating person each week.

Job Description:

As a DBA - Specialist, you will be responsible for providing database support related to SQL build, migration, performance tuning, and incident resolutions. You will take ownership of and lead technical resolutions for production incidents, communicate clearly complex technical issues to stakeholders and Lines of Business partners, and comply with The Bank's standards for change control and overall database security policies.

You will analyze recurring incidents and identify service improvements where possible, provide on-call rotational/pager support where required, participate in Incidents and Changes as part of BAU Operational activities, participate in Scheduled Disaster Recovery or SCM activities, and participate in post-mortems and RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of critical incidents.

Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in similar database role - SQL
  • Candidate should have extensive experience in MSSQL, Azure (IaaS, PaaS)
  • Setup/Installation and configuration of DB products
  • Experience in Tuning, Query Optimization, Monitoring and Troubleshooting database issues
  • Cloud migration experience
  • Exhibit knowledge of DB backup restore and recovery
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in MongoDB & PostgreSQL
  • ServiceNow Ticketing System
  • SolarWind Performance Tool
  • Azure Certification
  • FI experience
  • Oracle and MSSQL
