Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, measuring, and marking them.
  • Mix and apply adhesives to ensure a strong bond between tiles and surfaces.
  • Set tiles in place, aligning and straightening them to ensure a professional finish.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles to maintain the integrity of the installation.
  • Supervise other workers to ensure the job is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working at heights.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a dusty and noisy environment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-40 hour workweek. You will be required to work in a variety of locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
