About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Snow Shoveler to join our team at Green Prairie Landscaping Inc. as a Landscape Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, removing litter and garbage, laying sod or seed, and watering and tending to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including preparing sites and installing plants and features.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Cut grass and other vegetation to maintain a well-manicured lawn.
  • Rake and collect refuse, including leaves and other debris.
  • Remove litter and garbage from the work site.
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged or worn-out areas of the lawn.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including pick-up trucks and small engine equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in landscape maintenance or a related field an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and gloves required.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat. The work site will be a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling. The candidate must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
