Are you looking for a challenging role that combines cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)?

In this role, you will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Implement GCP best practices to secure managed services for data and analytics workloads, including Google Cloud Storage (GCS), BigQuery, Vertex AI notebooks, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, and more.
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines to securely build and deploy applications and GCP infrastructure.
  • Create monitoring dashboards and alerts to facilitate operational oversight of the entire platform.
  • Collaborate with enterprise security and business applications teams to define and implement cloud architecture and best practices on GCP.
  • Stay up-to-date on GCP best practices and recommend improvements to the existing platform to streamline development or address new security concerns.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for resolving critical incidents with GCP infrastructure or deployed applications.

What skills do you need to succeed in this role?

  • DevOps engineer certification or Terraform Associate certificate is preferred.
  • Proficient in Terraform.
  • Previous experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.
  • Functional knowledge of Python and Java.
  • Experience with DBT (optional).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
  • Self-managed and results-oriented with a sense of ownership.
  • A university degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Management, or a relevant field.
