Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for planning, setting up, and administering accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal control. The successful candidate will also recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices, develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures, and prepare income tax returns from accounting records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures, and internal control
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures
  • Prepare income tax returns from accounting records
  • Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Oversee payroll administration
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Accounting software proficiency
  • Database software proficiency
  • MS Excel proficiency
  • MS Windows proficiency
  • MS PowerPoint proficiency
  • MS Outlook proficiency
Work Environment:
