Senior Substation Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join our team of Power Delivery professionals in Western Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects and deliverables of projects assigned, and will work closely with other senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign project tasks and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level team members on moderate to highly complex projects.
  • Perform quality control reviews for work performed by junior and mid-level engineers and/or designers.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure quality control reviews of projects are completed as needed.
  • Work independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise efforts of less-experienced engineers and designers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in substation design and project execution within the Power Market Sector.
  • Professional Engineers (PE) license.
  • Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
