Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Groundperson to join our team in Crescent Valley, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely unloading hot oil from delivery trucks, performing daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment, and operating front-end loaders, skid-steer loaders, or other heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely unload hot oil from delivery trucks and ensure timely delivery of oil, fuel, aggregates, and supplies to the plant.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment, including inspecting and greasing asphalt conveyors.
  • Operate front-end loaders, skid-steer loaders, or other heavy equipment to assist with stockpiling materials and feeding the plant.
  • Set up and take down plants at different job sites as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience within the road construction industry.
  • 1 to 2 years as an Asphalt Plant Labourer, preferred.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and clean current driver's abstract.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics and equipment repair.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and methods.
