Magna Exteriors is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Connect power supply to machinery and equipment and connect interface wiring between machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, and motors.
  • Plan and install wiring and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot presses.
  • Work in a safe manner and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate issues and problems to supervisors or managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Industrial Trade certification as Industrial Electrician and/or PLC certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PLC and programming experience.
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and follow robot programs for ABB, Fanuc, and Panasonic.
  • Mig, Stick, and Tig welding skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals and principles.
  • Certification in one or more robot programming courses (ABB, Fanuc, Panasonic).
  • Experience with Labview is an asset.
  • Experience with troubleshooting robots.
  • Overhead crane license.
  • Forklift license.
  • Tier 1 automotive manufacturing experience.
