About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Health and Safety Technical Support. This position will involve ensuring that all safety protocols are met and maintained within the organization.

This is a 1-year determinate position with the possibility of extension, located in Hamilton, Ontario.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of professionals who share a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Salary: $53,898 to $67,757

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining technical logs, files, and records, databases, and inventories.
  • Cleaning and maintaining basic tools, equipment, and work sites.
  • Implementing and observing health and safety guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Operating and applying related software.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
  • Experience in cleaning and maintaining basic tools, equipment, and work sites.
  • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain technical logs, files, and records, databases, and inventories.
  • Proficiency in operating and applying related software.

Candidates who possess any of the following asset qualifications will be given preference:

  • Experience working with dangerous chemicals.
  • Knowledge of maintaining files and record systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain, and repair assorted sensors and bench equipment.
