About the Role

The Clinical Dietitian position at Fraser Health is an exciting opportunity for a qualified dietitian to make a difference in the lives of our patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing nutrition expertise to patients, families, and caregivers, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Determine appropriate nutrition interventions for patients, including assessing their current status and developing care plans that address their medical and nutritional needs.
  2. Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on healthy eating habits, nutrition, and disease management.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical pathways and protocols that promote best practices in nutrition care.
  4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practice guidelines and quality initiatives within the department.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and a successful completion of an approved dietetic internship program. You will also need to be registered with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and have a valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
