About the PositionThis senior management role is designed to drive the development and implementation of compliance-oriented processes that ensure our business remains competitive and compliant. As Senior Manager, Privacy Office (Canada), you will play a critical role in advising our business units on privacy issues and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans;
- Provide expert advice on privacy matters to business stakeholders, including identifying areas of improvement and recommending solutions;
- Liaise with regulators to address any concerns or issues related to data protection and privacy;
- Lead the investigation and response to any privacy-related complaints or incidents;
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate business stakeholders on privacy best practices;
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory developments and industry trends to ensure our business remains compliant;
- Partner with business leaders to implement changes and recommendations arising from regulatory exams and internal audits.
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a legal role within a financial institution;
- Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing compliance programs;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
