Pizza Pizza Tyee Plaza is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to lead our team in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with experience in supervising staff, training new employees, and maintaining high standards of quality control. As a Food Service Supervisor at Pizza Pizza Tyee Plaza, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing efficient work schedules to meet business needs
  • Coordinating and supervising the activities of food preparation staff, including training and mentoring them on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols
  • Estimating ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensuring accurate ordering and inventory management
  • Hiring and managing a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance
  • Maintaining records of stock, sales, and wastage, as well as preparing and submitting reports to senior management
Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and supervising staff to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies to meet business needs
  • Preparing and submitting reports to senior management, including sales data, stock levels, and other key performance indicators
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service management or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results. You will also work under the supervision of senior management and collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $42,000 - $55,000, based on location and industry standards. Benefits may include opportunities for professional development, flexible scheduling, and a positive work-life balance.
