SAIT's Facilities Management department is seeking a skilled Maintenance Service Worker to join their team. This part-time opportunity is ideal for SAIT students who can commit until the end of March 2025.

The Role
  • Provide labor support for event setup and teardown, academic initiatives, office moves, equipment collection, hazardous waste transport, and material transportation.
  • Assess damage to furniture and perform other duties related to operations, committees, special projects, and team building.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Active SAIT student status throughout the contract period.
  • Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Forklift Operator Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • TDG Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS training or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with IWMS software is highly desirable.

About the Opportunity

This maintenance role supports various functions on campus, including academic and non-academic events, by providing essential services. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills. They must also be able to work effectively in a team environment, lift heavy objects, and manage multiple work requests efficiently.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range: $16-$20 per hour for 20 hours per week. Please note that this is an estimate based on industry standards and may vary depending on factors like location and qualifications. Your actual compensation will be discussed during the hiring process.
