Accounts Payable Supervisor

At Tricon Residential, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Accounts Payable to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payment to vendors, and providing technical and administrative supervision to accounting personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coach the accounts payable team to ensure efficient and effective processing of invoices and payments.
- Develop and maintain system and process documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance internal policies and procedures to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely workflow of accounts payable, review and approve recurring payments, and communicate with cost center owners and vendors.
- Conduct research on complex inquiries and provide technical support to accounting personnel.
- Ensure process and procedures follow company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations.
- 5+ years of full cycle high-volume AP experience, with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of account payable concepts and basic accounting principles.
- Proficient knowledge of Excel and experience with online banking and wire payments.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
