About the Role
The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our care team, responsible for providing exceptional support and care to residents, their families, and volunteers. This role requires a passion for delivering outstanding care and a commitment to promoting the holistic needs of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident-Centered Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, maintain their privacy and dignity, and promote their independence.
- Documentation: Accurately document and report care and related observations to the Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in a timely manner.
- Safety: Contribute to a safe environment for residents, the team, and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices.
- Team Work: Work cooperatively with others as an effective team member and participate in evaluating and changing the documented care needs of residents.
Requirements
- Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate
- Registered with the Government of Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills
