Long Haul Truck Driver: Safety and Reliability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at D & W Logistics Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of goods across long distances.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.

Our ideal candidate has a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and Air Brakes Endorsement. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining a tractor-trailer unit, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that the vehicle is properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Tractor-Trailer Unit: Safely operate a tractor-trailer unit to transport goods across long distances.
  • Maintain Vehicle: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Monitor Cargo: Ensure that cargo is properly secured and transported safely.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Regularly communicate with central dispatch to receive and relay information.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A valid Class 1 or A driver's license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A high school graduation certificate (or equivalent).
