Job Title: Class 4 Power Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 4 Power Engineer to join our team at Shearer's Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the efficient installation, repair, and maintenance of high-speed food manufacturing machinery and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Alberta safety codes, procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Monitor alarms, gauges, and other instruments associated with plant operations and as per Alberta regulations.
  • Optimize equipment and process performance to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain a daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities on the utilities systems.
  • Participate in safety activities and contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Class 4 Alberta power engineer certification.
  • 2 years' experience managing and troubleshooting boilers.
  • Additional certification as Millwright is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and results-driven individual who can help the department achieve its goals.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift, including extended hours and weekends.
