We are seeking a skilled General Cardiologist to contribute to our team at Royal Inland Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique setting and practice high-quality medicine with comprehensive support.
Royal Inland Hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency care for over 1,500 patients with cardiac-related conditions. Our cardiac rehab clinic and heart function clinic offer hospital-based outpatient services, with opportunities to join the cardiology private practice. Physician Services provides a full in-patient admitting and consultative service, including Holter monitoring, ECGs, and loop recording service, heart function clinic, exercise stress testing, nuclear medicine support, cardiac CT and MRI support.
The hospital has a state-of-the-art Clinical Services Building, which houses the RACE and Pacemaker clinics. The four-bed CCU was opened in 2019, and the Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Tower, which includes a new operating room and surgical services suite, more beds, respiratory therapy services, mental-health and substance-use inpatient unit, obstetrics services, labour and delivery, and a rooftop helipad, was opened in the summer of 2022.
In the future, there is an opportunity to develop an outreach service to more remote communities. This is a great opportunity for any cardiologists who are passionate about a strong culture of teamwork and patient-centered care. The Cardiology group is actively involved in clinical research and are currently involved with 4 national and international trials.

Qualifications- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
- Doctorate in Medicine
- Fellowship with the Royal College Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in Cardiology
- Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory.
Hours of work: Full Time
On call requirements: 1:6
Estimated Gross Income: $400,000-$600,000
