M&J Concrete Finishing seeks a skilled Concrete Finisher and Support Specialist to join our team. This role requires a unique blend of concrete finishing expertise and cultural competency training.
Key Responsibilities- Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement, operate power vibrators to compact concrete, level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces, repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide mentorship and coaching to newcomers and refugees, support foreign credential recognition, and offer diversity and cross-cultural training.
- Support for Indigenous People: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, provide cultural competency training and awareness training, and offer mentorship and coaching opportunities.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination, offer mentorship programs, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training.
2 years to less than 3 years of experience, permanent position, 40 hours per week, English language.
