About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to clients in areas of clinic law, with a focus on housing and social assistance. This is a full-time permanent position, and the ideal candidate will have up to 5 years of experience in legal clinic work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal services to clients in areas of clinic law, with a focus on housing and social assistance
  • Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to achieve social justice and strong, effective client representation
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and best practices in legal clinic work
Requirements
  • Practicing lawyer or paralegal licensed by the Law Society of Ontario
  • Up to 5 years of experience in legal clinic work
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills
  • Ability to work with high-needs clients in a patient, respectful, and empathetic manner
  • Excellent client file management skills
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Knowledge of CIMS software (an asset)
  • Fluency in French (an asset)
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000.00 - $90,000.00, depending on position and experience. After a qualifying period, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and long-term disability coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
