The Opportunity
Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Produce Manager to join its team at the Lorette Food Store. As a key member of the store's management team, the Produce Manager will be responsible for leading the produce department and ensuring that it operates at the highest level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the produce department, ensuring that sales, margins, expenses, and profits are met or exceeded.
- Ensure that the department's presentation and operations meet the highest standards, including cleanliness, sanitation, inventory control, purchasing, and customer service.
- Lead employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of company policies.
- Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of retail experience, with previous management experience an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate employees to achieve strong results.
- A solid understanding of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
