Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve design and engineering issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, reports, and deliverables to successful conclusion.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical design and engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of CANDU nuclear power plant design and operation, as well as CANDU reactor components.
  • Understanding of engineering change control process.
  • Experience in compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Experience in piping and equipment design.
  • In-depth knowledge of CSA N285.0, N286.7, and N289, as well as ASME Section III Subsections NB, NC, ND, NF, ASME B31.1, B31.3, and ASME Section VIII.
