About the Role:

The Healthcare Support Worker (Patient Care Associate):

  • Provides assistance with personal care and daily living activities for patients.
  • Assists with patient mobility, transfers, and related equipment.
  • Performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  • Contributes to maintaining a safe and healthy environment through housekeeping activities.
  • Observes and reports changes in patient progress, symptoms, and condition.
  • Performs administrative tasks and other related duties.

As a Healthcare Support Worker (Patient Care Associate), you will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team providing patient care within the hospital. Working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses, Patient Care Associates follow established care plans and routines to deliver high-quality patient care.

This is a Casual Opportunity. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours and may experience varying shifts, which may be scheduled at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.

Shifts of work will be scheduled during the day and evening, rotating between 06:00 and 14:00, and 15:00 and 23:00 hours.
