Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at AZ Quality Foods Courtenay Ltd. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide assistance with purchases.
  • Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process payments, and handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Scan items, tabulate total payments, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Merchandise Handling: Wrap or place merchandise in bags, and provide additional services as needed.
  • Store Operations: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
