The Role:


As a Senior Underwriter, Financial Institutions, you will play a critical role in analyzing and reviewing complex policies for public and private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, investment advisors, and other financial institutions. Your expertise will be essential in identifying risks and developing solutions to manage liability and professional insurance needs.


Your Responsibilities:


You will be responsible for underwriting and managing an existing book of Financial Institution business, adhering to company policies and processes. You will also develop new business opportunities, grow revenue profitably, and implement marketing strategies to increase our market presence. Additionally, you will identify target markets, develop relationships with brokers, and work closely with internal teams to drive business growth.


Requirements:


To succeed in this role, you will need 3+ years of experience in specialty insurance, with a solid understanding of risk management principles and the ability to analyze data and provide insights. A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is required, along with advanced technical expertise, underwriting skills, and knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and procedures. Experience assessing company financials, analyzing stock metrics, and managing individual portfolios is also essential.
