About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking two Regular Part-Time Phlebotomists (Donor Care Associate) to join our dynamic Donor Centre team in Edmonton, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy in the collection process in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Work face-to-face with donors, team members, and volunteers to provide safe and quality service during each stage of the collection process.
  • Conduct registration and confidential screening to determine eligibility and build a positive donor experience.
  • Monitor donors for safety and comfort, provide post-donation care, and respect donor privacy.
  • Ensure safe processing and handling of blood products.
  • Assist in the collection of whole blood and apheresis blood components.
  • Participate in mobile events within our communities to set up booths, tables, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Completion of high school.
  • Completion of an accredited training program in phlebotomy or one year of related experience.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • A second language is considered an asset.

Work Environment
