Denca is seeking a skilled Furniture Restoration Specialist to join our team. This role involves making minor adjustments and repairs to furniture, preparing, sanding, and trimming wooden furniture and fixture parts, as well as recording information on products inspected.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual with experience in working with wood, automated spray painting, grinding machines, and power tools. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors.

The successful candidate will also be required to sit, stand, walk, and perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling. In addition, they must be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and wear steel-toed safety boots.

Responsibilities
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to furniture
  • Prepare, sand, and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts
  • Record information on products inspected
  • Set up and operate finishing machines or finish furniture by hand
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Stain or finish wood to specified color
  • Apply toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to obtain desired finish
  • Apply lacquer or other sealers
  • Install hardware on furniture and fixtures
  • Decorate wood surfaces
  • Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards
  • Clean, polish, and wax furniture
  • Smoother gouges with wood filler and sand wood
What We Offer
