About the Role

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Pre-Flight Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft by performing mechanical work, inspections, and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare aircraft for flight or customer acceptance by performing mechanical work, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
  • Install and remove safety pins, cover intake ports and pipes, and perform other tasks to prepare the aircraft for flight.
  • Check, adjust, repair, or replace complex devices and equipment, including internal storage, seats, and harnesses.
  • Perform maintenance, purging, charging, and checking of gas and liquid oxygen systems.
Requirements
  • College diploma in pre-flight mechanics or military equivalent.
  • Experience in aircraft structure assembly, repair, and/or composite materials.
  • CF-18 experience is an asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Strong teamwork and analytical skills.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Eligibility for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO SECRET security clearance.
  • Eligibility to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
