Data Science Director

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Director to lead our machine learning and operations teams at Bell Canada. As a key member of our Customer Operations team, you will be responsible for driving the creation of game-changing algorithms in areas such as natural language processing, process engineering, and workload management solutions.
Your primary focus will be on developing and managing a comprehensive measurement framework to track and capture reach, performance, and value impact of our algorithms. You will also demonstrate a successful track record as a leader, developer, and manager of people, attracting, retaining, and developing strong talent and building a positive organization and team culture.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a discipline such as data science, applied math, or related area, with 5+ years of experience in a data science role. You should have development experience with at least one general programming language (e.g., Python) and previous experience with ML frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow).

- Exhibit strong business acumen, with an appreciation for the opportunities and constraints that accompany an ever-evolving competitive environment
- Master's degree in a discipline such as data science, applied math, or related area
- 5+ years of experience in a data science role
- Development experience with at least one general programming language (e.g., Python)
- Previous experience with ML frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
- Experience with general ML/data science tools in Python: numpy, pandas, sklearn, jupyter etc.
- Hands-on experience and expertise with different AI/ML frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, SparkML, Scikit-Learn
- Computer science fundamentals
- Database: SQL, Hadoop
Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
