Job Summary:
UPS is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at our Vancouver Hub Facility near YVR (Richmond BC). As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of package delivery vehicles and tractor-trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Follow the company's preventive and planned maintenance schedule
- Resolve DVIR concerns for each vehicle on time
- Create and submit maintenance reports on all vehicles serviced
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License (BC Class 5 is mandatory)
- Valid Driver's Abstract
- Able to operate a Standard Transmission / Manual Transmission Vehicle
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Bondable
- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification (Certificate of Qualification/Inter-provincial Red-Seal)
- Experience in Diesel Engines, Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems, Steering, Brakes and Suspensions
- Experience in the maintenance of both Standard and Automatic Transmissions
