Job Summary

This Resident Support Specialist role is a great opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team. As a Resident Support Specialist, you will provide resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures.



About the Role

As a Resident Support Specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and work under the direction of the Manager or designate. Your responsibilities will include performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration, as well as resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical, and recreational needs.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures
  • Perform nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Transport residents and perform clerical duties
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve high-quality resident care

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. You will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
