Job Title: Transportation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to join our team at Sewa Enterprise Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes evaluating daily operations, monitoring department performance, preparing reports for senior management, supervising staff, training staff, managing finances or budget, arranging for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit, ensuring transport compliance with regulations, and overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations and identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor department performance and prepare reports for senior management
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Manage finances or budget to ensure that transportation operations are cost-effective
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit
  • Ensure transport compliance with regulations
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in transportation management
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work Environment:

The Transportation Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and will be required to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Experience:

Experience in transportation management is an asset. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation regulations and will be able to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
