About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional EHS/Safety Manager to join our team at APG Canada West. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor EHS performance and provide guidance to facility leadership and employees.
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with area managers to ensure EHS programs are effectively implemented and facility performance data is provided in a timely manner.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS-related matters.
- Manage the company's safety award program and coordinate the administration of the fleet safety program.
- Oversee the maintenance of records and files related to the EHS department, including WCB, incident reporting, testing, training, audits, and inspections.
Requirements
- Proven experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA and WHMIS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
