About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join our team at Dream. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process for our residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Provide design direction and oversight for residential projects, ensuring that designs meet our high standards and are aligned with our company's vision.
  • Design Development: Develop and refine design concepts, working closely with our design team to ensure that designs are innovative, functional, and meet our clients' needs.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that designs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our design team, construction team, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are implemented effectively and efficiently.
  • Design Standards: Develop and maintain design standards and guidelines for our residential projects, ensuring consistency and quality across all designs.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and expertise with junior designers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and design technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our designs and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • Education: Postsecondary education in Architectural Technologies (Residential Stream) or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in residential home design, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of home building, estimating, construction building materials, and building code standards. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, with LEED accreditation an asset.
