About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at the BC SPCA. As a key member of our shelter staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional animal care and attention to detail in maintaining a clean and safe environment for animals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve high standards of animal care and welfare
  • Support front office staff with administrative tasks and provide excellent customer service
  • Assist with animal intake, adoption, and other related procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract
  • Demonstrable interest in animal welfare and a commitment to upholding high animal care standards
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
