High-Performance Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Interac Corp. This is an exciting opportunity to work on designing and delivering high-performance payment systems that give Canadians control over their money.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our highly distributed payment system, ensuring optimal performance and availability of all our IT applications.
You will work closely with senior team members to gather monitoring requirements from stakeholders and deliver solutions utilizing the enterprise monitoring toolset.
This role requires a strong understanding of large-scale Java applications, database architectures, application monitoring, and fault management.
Responsibilities- Design and implement high-performance infrastructure solutions for our payment system.
- Maintain and support our highly distributed payment system, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Work with senior team members to gather monitoring requirements from stakeholders and deliver solutions.
- Develop and implement monitoring tools and scripts to ensure system reliability and stability.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to system performance and availability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and maintenance, preferably in payment systems or banking domain.
- Strong understanding of large-scale Java applications, database architectures, application monitoring, and fault management.
- Experience with WebSphere, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Architecture.
- Ability to write queries and pull reports on Database and Splunk.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Power Shell, BASH, Python, and Ansible.
